I’m sure as a business owner, you’ve heard a lot of talk about productivity hacks and efficiency tips. As entrepreneurs, we are always looking for ways to make the most of our time during busy days. As a mom of two active kiddos, it’s sometimes hard to juggle it all between their schedule, my business, and our family time.
Sometimes it seems that no matter how efficient you are during the day, you can’t get everything done when it comes to running your business.
Investing wisely in your business, helps to increase your profits, while reducing your stress and building a business that runs much more smoothly.
If you’re looking to improve your productivity, try these three steps.
TIP #1: OUTSOURCE IT
As a solopreneur, you may feel like you have to do everything in your business yourself or that you can afford to outsource. I used to have the same mindset. Thinking that I couldn’t afford to spend the money to pay someone to help me with my business. I needed to do it all until my business was “ready” to pay someone. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Just think. Something that takes you five hours, an expert could complete in one. What money making tasks could you get done with those extra five hours? Could you send an email to your list? Create another blog post with affiliate links? Work on a product to help your audience reach their goals?
If this is your first time hiring a contractor, you can ask business associates for referrals in finding candidates to interview.
I’ve used Fiverr on more than one occasion to get projects that I needed completed finished. I think it’s a great place to start when you’re just getting started with contractors.
TIP #2: GET RID OF THOSE BAD HABITS
Are you doing things a certain way because that’s how they’ve always been done even though there might be a better way?
Have you spent months or even years thinking about launching a product, yet you still haven’t quite gotten there?
Outsource tasks, upgrade that software you’re using, and plan that product launch. Get that excitement flowing back into your business.
TIP #3: CREATE YOUR GAME PLAN
Whether you choose to use software or old-fashioned pen and paper, get your projects down in writing so that you can begin working towards your goals.
You might be in the habit of working on things unrelated to your goals.
Your business plan represents the blueprint to reaching your goals no matter how large they may seem. Reviewing your plan daily can help you to stay focused and increase your productivity.
Do you have any hacks that you use to keep you focused and productive? I’d love to hear about them!
